Healing the Vicious Trauma Cycle

- How to Work with Trauma Material: the TSM Trauma Triangle -

People affected by trauma develop specific trauma ego states. The TSM Trauma Triangle is a profound and versatile tool that offers both:

  • a visible structure to illuminate and understand the internalized trauma dynamics, and
  • a clear action structure to work through these deep and painful dynamics in a safe, contained, and conscious way.

The TSM Trauma Triangle is a refinement of the well known Drama Triangle and it responds to the specific experiences of trauma. It names three trauma roles that need to be addressed: the victim, the perpetrator, and the abandoning authority. In addition, it marks a fourth, transformational role that will develop in the course of the therapeutic work, the appropriate authority.

In this course students will learn hands-on tools and a deeper understanding of:

  • the internalized trauma ego states: victim, perpetrator, and abandoning authority
  • how to support clients in identifying and understanding their trauma patterns
  • a clear action structure that guides your work with trauma material
  • how to bring in transformational impulses through the appropriate authority role.
